The nose delivers notes of cloves, pepper and truffles along with sweet spices like vanilla and cinnamon . Cherries, kirsch and prunes are evident on the palate and hints of floral rose. A very distinctive red wine with a velvet like texture and subtle balance.

The nose is beautifully griotte-scented and there is a Blaufrankish spice and pepper note here which makes the palate wonderfully mouth-watering. Typically slender, with some lip-smacking green notes in among the cherry tones. Matthew Jukes

Country Of Origin: France
A great red wine from the legendary A plot: a pure Pinot Noir, the combination of an exceptional plot and a typical Burgundy highly skilled winemaking method. Very rare in Champagne country.

. Champagne country originally owed its fame to its red wines. Favourites of King Henri IV, the Pinot Noirs from the town of A were the most popular wines of the French court. La Cte aux Enfants comes from a steep plot just outside A. Jacques Bollinger himself reconstituted it patiently, at the beginning of the 20th century, from over 50 differently owned plots! Today, Bollinger owns four adjacent hectares of the legendary plot. Since 2012, all vines grown there are organically farmed.

. Made from the grapes of the land plot of the same name, exclusively dedicated to its production. 100% grand cru pinot noir from Ay, this wine is the perfect combination of an exceptional terroir and a highly technical wine making process.
