Bottega S.p.A. is an award-winning estate built inside a renovated and expanded 19th century manor house (Villa Rosina) and surrounded by ten hectares of vineyards.  It’s located in tiny Bibano di Godega di Sant’Urbano, 45 km north of Venice and in the heart of Italy’s Prosecco and grappa-producing Veneto region.

Founder Aldo Bottega, a master distiller with more than 30 years experience in this sector, inherited from his grandfather, (himself a skillful wine merchant during the 20s,) the passion for the world of winemaking.  In 1983, when Aldo Bottega died, his son Sandro took over as President of the company, with the help of his sister Barbara and his brother Stefano. In 1992 production commenced of Il Vino dei Poeti, a Prosecco sparkling wine. Between 2009 and 2011 they acquired the direct management of two wineries in Valpolicella and Montalcino, in order to control directly the production of Amarone, Brunello and the great red wines of these areas.

In 2013 Distilleria Bottega Srl increased the share capital and changed it's name to Bottega S.p.A.  Today Bottega a distributes its products in more than 120 countries worldwide.

Sparkling wine, obtained by the vinification of the Glera grapes, The grapes are hand-picked and produced with a white vinification (must and skin are immediately separated). The second fermentation takes place in autoclave at a controlled temperature of 14-15° C. This process lasts quite a long time in order to maintain all the wine perfumes and obtain a fine perlage. The wine is then cold stabilized at -4° C for about a week, filtered and bottled.
