Made from grapes grown from some of the most choice land in the surrounding region of la Motte en Provence, consisting primarily of Grenache, Rolle (Vermentino) and Cinsault. Delicate, clean and minerally. Pale salmon in colour. Fresh peach and strawberry on the nose with plenty of red berry fruits. Full bodied and dry, with pink grapefruit and hints of peach on the palate, lively acidity and a long finish.

A beautifully made wine.

More palate grabbing by far from the Provencal Pink norm

The Whispering Angel Rosé has its name from the Whispering Angels chapel from the early 19th century with two cherubs above the altar. The rosé managed to outshine its previous vintage which had already convinced many renowned wine critics. The vintners of Château d'Esclans carefully harvest and select the best grapes from previously selected vineyards in La Motte in the Provence from sunrise to noon.

Château d’Esclans is located on an exceptional site, on elevated land near the Gorges de Pennafort, twenty five kilometres northwest of the ancient Roman city of Frejus on the Mediterranean coast.

The château is known for its old Grenache vines which produce grapes that offer greater concentration of flavour than do the younger vines.

The château’s cellar structure or foundation (known today as the oldest in the region) housed an original Chateau that was given by the Comte de Provence to Gérard De Villeneuve, in 1201.
