We will not sell or deliver alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and we reserve the right not to deliver if we are unsure of this.

Saxtys Wines reserves the right not to accept any order.

Payment

We accept Debit Card and Credit Card transactions through HSBC.

The Cards we accept are Mastercard / Visa / Visa Delta / Visa Electron / Solo / Switch / Maestro.

The goods will not be delivered until the customer’s funds, that have been paid to Saxtys Wines have cleared in full.

Any stock will remain property of Saxtys Wines until funds have cleared.

We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers, goods and specifications of goods at our discretion at any time before (but not after) we accept your order. Where an end date is specified on any offer on the website, it is intended as a guide only. We reserve the right to change prices at any time.

Order Notes

Once you have placed your order, confirmation will be sent to you via e-mail, complete with your Transaction and Order Reference Numbers.

Saxtys Wines Cannot be held responsible for pricing errors due to software mal-function, or human error.

Delivery

We offer three delivery options:

1. Collection directly from Saxtys Wine Bar in Hereford. This is of course, free of charge. Email us to arrange a pick-up time.
2. Standard Courier Service. Goods will be delivered in up to 7 working days, although in most cases in 24/48 hours. This option is priced at £7.95 per consignment.
3. Premium Courier Service. Three options for this can be found on our Delivery page. For Premium next day delivery, orders must be placed before 12 noon. Saturday services are available.

All orders are subject to stock availability. We will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a similar product or a later delivery date once the stock is available.

Glass Hire

All prices are exclusive of VAT which will be charged at the rate ruling on the date of the invoice. Hire charges are based on a ‘Time on Hire’ basis and not on a ‘Time Used’ Basis.

Hire Charges quoted are for a 72 hour hire and are based on the customer collecting and returning the goods. Delivery can be arranged at an extra cost.

Items not returned by 1:00pm on the return date will be charged extra at one third of the hire rate for each day overdue.

It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that users of the equipment exercise adequate care to avoid injury. Saxtys Wines will not accept responsibility for injury caused through irresponsible behaviour. Ownership of all hired equipment remains at all times with Saxtys Wines. The customer has no rights over any equipment other than that it is hired to them.

Any losses or breakages will be charged for at the retail replacement price at the time of loss or breakage. This is taken from the deposit.

No substitute items will be accepted under any circumstances.

In addition to the hire charges a deposit of £100 is required on conformation. The deposit, less the replacement cost of any losses or breakages will be reimbursed when the items are returned. Where the deposit is not sufficient to cover the replacement cost the Customer is liable for the balance.

Payment in full (Hire and deposit value) is required in advance of the hire, unless another arrangement has been confirmed by Saxtys Wines.

All equipment is dispatched from Saxtys Wines clean and ready to use. A non-negotiable cleaning charge applies to all orders of 15p (ex. Vat) per glass.

All items on Conformation of Order have been booked for you. Items and quantities may not be altered within 48 hours of the function. The deposit will be fully refundable if the order is cancelled before this time.

Credit Card Security

All credit card transactions processed from this site use 128-bit encryption to create a safe and secure shopping experience for you. Once you reach the order process, you will notice a padlock appear at the bottom of your browser window. Also, the address at the top will change to begin with https://www instead of http://www. Both are signs you are entering a secure site.

Privacy Policy

We will collect only the basic personal details required to process your order. We will not release your name, address, email address or any other information about our customers to any outside party. We will not trade, resell, sell or redistribute information that you provide to us to any other companies, organisations or individuals.

Returns Policy & Guarantee

At Saxtys Wines, we guarantee your satisfaction with our service.

In accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive, you are entitled to cancel your order at any time within 7 working days of receiving your goods. The cancellation period ends on the expiry of the period of 7 working days beginning with the day after the day on which you received the goods. If you wish to cancel an order under these terms, first contact us by email sales@saxtyswines.co.uk and then return your product unopened within 7 days of receiving your parcel. A collection charge may apply if you are returning your wine for a reason other than damage or corkage.

Claims

All goods must be examined and we must be notified of any breakages immediately and within two days of delivery at the latest. Please contact us straight away if you have any problems or inquiries.
