A simply stunning Rose Champagne, presented in a branded gift box. Delicate pink colour with slight blue hints & lively stream of fine bubbles. The pure, precise bouquet mingles sweet honeysuckle and lily with bright red fruit and mandarin zest, combined with typical Louis Roederer smokiness and ripeness. Precision and purity are echoed on the palate with a crunchy, mature attack of Pinot Noir, accompanied by freshness from the Chardonnay. After aeration, flavours of ripe, juicy fruit blend in a texture that is both smooth and fresh. Finesse and elegance with a long finish.

Founded in 1776, and property of the same family since 1819, Champagne Louis Roederer is today one of the last (and one of the largest) major champagne houses to be an independent family affair.

Initially founded as Dubois Pere & Fils in 1776, Louis Roederer inherited the company from his uncle in 1833, renamed it and set out to target markets abroad. With concentrated efforts in several countries, including Russia, in 1909, Tsar Nicholas II nominated Louis Roederer as the official wine supplier to the Imperial Court of Russia.

Though the Russian Revolution and the U.S. Prohibition caused financial difficulties during the early 20th century, Roederer was re-established as a leading Grandes Marques producer and remains in the ownership of descendants Rouzaud - a family of leading Wine Specialists.

From a vineyard area of 240 hectares (590 acres), Louis Roederer produces two thirds of the grapes needed for its production, sourcing the remaining required fruit from established farming contacts. The vintage Cuvees include the Vintage and Rosé Vintage, with Pinot noir and Chardonnay in an approximately 7:3 proportion, and the 100% Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs. Their prestige Cuvee, Cristal, was made commercially available in 1945. It is a blend of around 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir. The total annual production of Roederer is approximately 3.5 million bottles, of which 70-80% is Brut Premier.
