Ideal for aperitif drinking, or with summer salads, this bright, rose petal coloured wine has floral aromas and a fresh, clean taste, full with a nice acid balance, enhanced by notes of white-fleshed fruit.

A grenache / Cisault blend, The Grenaches are grown on clay and limestone soils mainly facing directly East, while the Cinsaults are planted on the plain in predominantly sandy soils.  The grapes are picked at maturity in order to combine fruitiness and freshness.

The Marius rosé 2012 is a 100% pressed rosé. The musts under go very little racking in order to develop the wine’s volume yet maintain its freshness. Balance is the golden rule. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature for 15 days and then the wine is aged on its fine lees in stainless steel or concrete vats for 3-4 months.

Country Of Origin: France

The Chapoutier family have been making wine in the Rhône Valley since 1808. Michel Chapoutier took over the family business in 1990 from his Grandfather to create wines which really began to speak of their origin. Michel sees himself as a 'wine-grower, wine-maker and a wine-lover', all of which have allowed M.Chapoutier to become one of the most recognised and awarded biodynamic wine producers in the world.

Marius carries the name and the spirit of Michel's Great Grandfather, adhering to his motto of "a good wine is a wine you want to taste again".

These wines carry the warmth of the soil in the South of France where they are rooted and express the conviviality that comes with sharing a wine together. The focused range is both expressive and elegant.
