Layers is a unique blend that delivers a highly enjoyable journey of discovery for the senses in each and every glass. Finely structured lemon tinged Semillon provides a wonderful backbone to support the soft floral aromatics of Muscat entwined with the delicate spice of Gewerztraminer. Pinot Gris introduces texture and mouthfeel to complete a wonderfully flavoursome wine.

Semillon, Muscat, Gewerztraminer and Pinot Gris, each add character to the final blend. An attractive pale yellow with green tints, it has aromas of citrus, hints of peach, floral notes and aromatic lifted spiciness. It has excellent structure and a soft and zesty mouthfeel, delightful depth on the middle palate and finishes wonderfully fresh with a mouthful of crunchy fruit.

Peter Lehmann, a member of the Order of Australia and the original Baron of the Barossa, and a legend of Australian wine. He helped shape the industry over seven decades.

Behind the legend is a never-say-die attitude, a sharp wit and an intrinsic gift for winemaking. Peter was born in the Barossa village of Angaston in 1930, the fifth generation of one of Barossa's pioneering families.

Peter Lehmann Wines was established primarily for the grape growers of the Barossa. Company vineyards account for less than two per cent of total production, and the winery would not exist without the 140 family farmers that supply fruit from all corners of the region.

Most growers are small-scale vignerons, with an average of 20 - 70 acres of vines, providing fruit of great individual character.

Viticulturist Tony Marshall works closely with the growers to consistently improve quality. Every grower understands they are making wine, not just growing grapes. It is a tight-knit family that gets together every year in November to celebrate the new wines of the year's vintage.
