Reserve wines from earlier years are used to create a more rounded blend and ensure the originality of the Piper Heidsieck style. The wines harmony develops over the course of slow ageing in Piper Heidsieck chalk cellars.
It has a sparkling clarity, pale gold in colour which leads into more fruity notes such as summer apple and pear, then citrus, with hints of warm toastiness. On the palate Piper Heidsieck cuvee Brut champagne is lively and fresh. The citrus notes take on a certain maturity. There is passion with gentleness, lightness with spontaneity.
