An old classic, Dom Perignon is enjoyed from Royal tables to Michelin Star restaurants and trendy Bars, and is sometimes the only champagne that will do for special occasions.
The nose has fine intensity with classic background aromas of puree of apples, poached pears, vanilla, hazelnuts, melba toast and yellow-plum jam as well as superb hints of quince and chalk.
On the palate the attack is incisive and combines acidic freshness with the finesse of the bubbles. It's also very fruity with flavours of very ripe light-coloured fruit.
Dom Perignon is only produced in the finest vintages from grapes grown on 100% rated vineyards. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. At blending, Moet's Senior Winemaker decided to combine 55% Chardonnay for its fresh fruity flavour and structure with 45% Pinot Noir, chosen to add weight and richness.
