Style Rich, round and fruity

Made from high-quality wines of the Quinta de Ervamoira by blending harvests of different years. The new wines make it robust and fresh while the oldest wines give it complexity and “lineage”.Its characteristic aroma and palate are the result of the artistry achieved by the head of Ramos’ Tasting Room.

Orange-red in colour with a touch of green. A well-rounded, generous aroma with balance and a hint of wine. Fruit aromas include orange, apricot and plum. Vanilla and old Port wine casks make up its woody aromas.

This is a fruity tawny variety. In the mouth, one can still taste the fresh fruit surrounded by the ageing in wood. A good structure and perfect balance between fruit and alcohol. The attack on the palate is smooth and full-bodied. Following the initial oily feel, a fresh, soft fruitiness appears which finishes with a slightly acidic, woody note.

This tawny is a blend with an average age of 10 years. Grape Variety: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca.

Presented in a fantastic cork cooler gift pack which has received the 2015 Red Dot award for communication design.

The packaging provides information and advice on drinking the wine at the right temperature and serves as a carrier but can also be reused in an innovative and creative manner.

Country Of Origin: Portugal

Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, this Port House has always had a pioneering spirit – from the distinctive and stylish ‘art nouveau’ advertising from the 1900s to the continuing wide ranging vineyard research with results that have benefited the whole port trade. Champagne Louis Roederer, now the majority shareholder, perpetuates this philosophy and ensures continuity in a company renowned for wine-making excellence.

Ramos Pinto holds the largest proportion of vineyards in relation to its production, giving it a high degree of control over viticultural methods and harvest timing. The house tends 187 hectares of prime vineyards in the Alto Corgo and Douro Superior areas of the famed Douro region, the mountainous valley formed by the Douro River and its tributaries.
