The classic Veuve Clicquot yellow label presented in a unique quirky metal gift tin, branded with Veuve livery and shaped like an old-fashioned street sign, showing the distance from the house's home in Reims to various world destinations.

The champagne is a beautiful golden-yellow colour, with a foaming necklace of tiny bubbles. The nose is initially reminiscent of white fruits and raisins, then of vanilla and later of brioche. A fine balance between the fruity aromas from the grape varieties and the toasty aromas following the ageing in the bottle.

Please note, there is limited stock for each destination, and bottle destinations will be sent at random. You are welcome to call and request your preferred choice, but we cannot guarantee to have it available.

According to the house of Veuve, Champagne is a wine of legend. Driven by a desire for quality, Madame Clicquot - known as the first lady in business - ensured that only the finest wines were produced by her house. Pride in the house motto: "Only one quality, the finest" has meant that only 10 cellar masters have led the quest for quality, ensuring the continuation of the Veuve Clicquot style: strength and complexity.

In 1772 by Philippe Clicquot-Muiron established the original enterprise which eventually became the house of Veuve Clicquot. The House played an important role in establishing champagne as a favoured drink of haute bourgeoisie and nobility throughout Europe. In 1775, it was credited to be the first Champagne house to produce Rosé Champagne, using the method of adding red wine during production. It was later taken over by his widow Madame Clicquot at the age of 27 in 1810. Through determination, intuition and acumen Madame Clicquot not only created the first recorded vintage in the champagne region but built up the Veuve Clicquot property to make it one of the foremost vineyards in all of Champagne.

The 1811 comet vintage of Veuve Clicquot is theorized to have been the first truly "modern" Champagne due to the advancements in the méthode champenoise which Veuve Clicquot pioneered through the technique of remuage (secondary fermentation in the bottle.)

Since 1987 the Veuve Clicquot Company has been part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy group of luxury brands, and today owns a controlling interest in New Zealand's Cloudy Bay Vineyards.

Today, both in France and abroad, the Veuve Clicquot brand continues to embody the values held dear by Madame Clicquot: modernity and audacity blended together with an emphasis on quality and expertise that are second to none.
