La Grande Dame has a pale gold colour with jade glints. The wine is crystal clear, with unbelievably fine bubbles. On the first nose, typical Chardonnay characteristics come to the fore, with the arrival of floral and mineral aromas (acacia, ferns, chalk).

Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin's Prestige Cuvee, La Grande Dame, is a very great wine which pays homage to a very great lady in the champagne world, Madame Clicquot. La Grande Dame is a unique wine, with its own place in history, and presented in a flawless bottle evoking the simplicity of traditional shapes.

It is made from eight historic Grand Crus - Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay, Bouzy, Aÿ, Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Oger. Beneath the freshness and delicacy of Chardonnay lie the rich aromas of Pinot Noir, emblematic of Veuve Clicquot's tradition. La Grande Dame is left to mature in the Veuve Clicquot chalk cellars: it will rest for at least six years after the harvest and only after that time will it testify to an exceptional vintage in your glass.
