Wolf Blass Wines, established in the Barossa Valley in 1966, has grown from a humble tin shed to become one of the world's most successful and awarded wineries. Wolf Blass Wines has won Australia's most coveted trophy, the Jimmy Watson, an unprecedented four times. There is a tradition of quality, character and consistency in the Wolf Blass wine production process.
Today, Wolf Blass wines are exported to more than 50 countries and are recognised internationally as icons of modern winemaking. After harvesting, the individual parcels of fruit were fermented separately in a range of fermenting vessels in order to showcase the unique characters of each parcel. After fermentation the wines were pressed off the skins and racked into oak. Each barrel is assessed prior to blending and lightly filtered before bottling.
The nose shows blackcurrant fruit, a touch of mint with hints of dark chocolate and nutty oak. The full-bodied palate is soft, rich and elegant with dark berry fruits and subtle, cedary oak. Integrated lingering tannins create a fine and lengthy finish.
